Here I am, in a Little Journal

Someday Just Began.

The more I experience life back home, the more it hits me: I do not like where I am, and I might not be becoming a better person.

I spent my Friday night and my entire Saturday in the company of blueREP. It’s only been less than a year since I graduated, and I even did musical direction for their newbie production six months ago, but I felt as if I were gone for such a long time. The real world may have been so harsh, that coming home to blueREP and seeing young, vibrant, and passionate people just kept bringing me to tears that I hid so well (or not).

Company Call: Bluerep at 20 was a huge success, and I can’t believe it just happened! When I was a sophomore and a new member of the blueREP core, I remember dreaming about a big concert featuring the blueREP members and alumni on our 20th anniversary. It was one of those things we wished we could achieve, but we were unsure if it would happen or not, because none of us would stay to see it happen. After all, we would have all graduated by the time blueREP turned 20. However, that event we were once dreaming of JUST FINISHED a few hours ago.

It was good to be home, even for just a while. I definitely missed an environment where I could be what I want to be. I missed the home that allowed me to create. I missed the home wherein people actually smile and mean it. I missed being around people who love me because of all my quirks. I missed being around people who are as crazy as I am. I missed the home that appreciates the things I do.

Ultimately, I missed feeling so alive!

I really hope that the present blueREPPERS were inspired to work even harder after witnessing/being a part of everything that transpired tonight. May the coming season be as successful, and may the passion for this kind of art be the same as it was 20 years ago.

Can’t wait for Company Call: Bluerep at 30!
